THIS 4v4 FLAG FOOTBALL PLAY COMES OFF OF THE SHOVEL TO THE WEAK SIDE.

IT IS A QUICK SHOVEL TO THE Z WHO PITCHES THE BALL TO X ON THE REVERSE.

THE QB WILL TAKE THE SHOTGUN SNAP AND PITCH THE BALL TO Z ON THE SHOVEL.

THEN THE Z PITCHES THE BALL TO THE X ON THE REVERSE.

QUARTERBACK:

-TAKE THE SHOTGUN SNAP AND IMMEDIATELY SHOVEL THE BALL TO THE Z.

-AFTER YOU SHOVEL THE BALL UNDERNEATH THEN SPRINT TO THE WEAK SIDELINE.

Z: SHOVEL ROUTE

-ON THE SNAP TAKE ONE STEP BACK WITH YOUR INSIDE FOOT.

-PAUSE TO GIVE THE QB TIME TO GATHER THE SNAP.

-TAKE AN UNDERNEATH COURSE BEHIND THE CENTER AND LOOK FOR THE PITCH FROM THE QB.

-SECURE THE PITCH AND RUN THE BALL TO THE WEAK SIDE.

-PITCH THE BALL TO THE X OVER THE TOP AS YOUR PATHS CROSS.

X: REVERSE

-COME IN SHORT MOTION ON THE QB’S CUE. (ONE OR TWO STEPS)

-THE MOTION IS TO ENABLE YOU TO GET SOME DEPTH.

-ON THE SNAP TRAVEL BETWEEN THE QB AND THE Z.

-SECURE THE PITCH FROM THE Z AS YOU CROSS PATHS.

-ATTACK THE STRONG SIDE PERIMETER ON THE REVERSE.

CENTER: CORNER ROUTE

-EXECUTE AN ACCURATE SNAP.

-BEST RELEASE TO A DEPTH OF 12 YARDS.

-AT 12 YARDS BREAK TO THE WEAK SIDE CORNER.

-KEEP THIS ROUTE ON A HIGH ANGLE.
