Practice Prep Takes A Lot Of Time
By FirstDown PlayBook on Dec 15, 2018

Most people have absolutely no idea how much time it takes to properly prepare for a football practice. There is so much that goes into it because to do it properly you and your football staff must do a thorough job of preparing your team but you also must do a great job of studying and replicating the opponent.

Some football staffs are so thorough with their video study and  their game planning that when they look up at the end of the day they have actually left little to no time for what really matters and that is teaching the players! The time crunch will never change and coaches will always struggle with this during the season, but there are some things that can help out.

FirstDown PlayBook has been in your shoes. We have drawn two hours worth of cards in an hour because the head coach or coordinator finally decided what the plan was late, late, late in the afternoon. FirstDown PlayBook has sprinted out to the practice field, getting dressed for practice as we traveled. All of this, please keep in mind, normally came after arriving at work around 5:00 am.

So where are we going with this? Preparing for a football practice takes a lot of time and with every step we took developing the FirstDown PlayBook 2.0 Draw & Edit tool we had you and this in mind. What makes this coaching tool different is that it truly is “By coaches For Coaches”. Today’s short video is directed at you defensive coaches out there who have drawn your share of practice cards and understand how much time practice prep can devour.

FirstDown PlayBook is the only Digital Football PlayBook that gives you access to over thirty five thousand football plays, schemes and technique help all designed by coaches and players with NFL experience.
