Welcome Texas High School Football Chat!
By FirstDown PlayBook on Feb 22, 2017

When we first came across Texas High School Football Chat @TXHSFBCHAT on Twitter we were curious so we checked it out. What we found was a community of football coaches from all over the world who get together on Twitter on Wednesday nights at 8:00 pm CST to exchange ideas and to grow as coaches.

We were thoroughly impressed. After all, Twitter is at times, not the most positive place to hangout in the world. However, after having joined in more than a time or two with the hashtag #txhsfbchat we can tell you that this is one of the most constructive things for football coaches that we have found in the past several years!

This is why we are excited to announce that FirstDown PlayBook and Texas High School Football Chat are partnering up for the 2017 season! You will be hearing more about that as we go but for now scroll down to read more about Texas High School Football Chat or just bang on the football play below to go to their website and be sure to join them tonight at 8:00pm CST!

Texas High School Football Chat, or #txhsfbchat, began on January 14, 2015 with the mission of being the first opportunity to connect Texas high school football coaches on Twitter in order to learn from each other and expand our Professional Learning Network. Since then, the chat has grown to reach thousands of coaches from Texas and all over the nation participating and following each Wednesday night at 8pm CST.

Coach Chris Fisher is the creator and moderator of #txhsfbchat and serves as the weekly host. Coach Fisher is the OL coach and academic coordinator at Ridge Point HS in Missouri City, TX.

The mission of #txhsfbchat is and always will be, to provide coaches a forum of communication to promote professional growth and education.

Join in each week at 8pm CST and take part in the best hour of your coaching education!
