In the process of doing this we will explain what those dotted lines mean for the pulling guard on this play.

It’s always important to realize that the defense is going to react to your blocking scheme and the backfield movement. The easy thing to do is to just leave the defenders stationary on the play drawing but it is the wrong thing to do.

Your players need to understand how the defense is going to react and also understand that their blocking assignment can be adjusted based on how the defense reacts. This short video shows how the play side pulling guard can adjust his coursed based on the defensive end.
